The Tundra Tsi301™ is a HyperTransport™ bridge designed for use with MIPS processors from Broadcom, AMD, and PMC-Sierra.

The Tsi301 supports 64-bit, 66-MHz PCI operations and implements two, bidirectional 8-bit HyperTransport interfaces that provide 800 MBps of bandwidth in each direction. Up to 31 devices can be daisy chained to build higher capacity systems with multiple PCI buses and HyperTransport-based peripherals.

Business Benefits

The Tsi301 offers designers a number of key system benefits:

  • Low Power – HyperTransport is an interconnect technology that consumes low power by design. The Tsi301 extends this benefit by offering one of the lowest power consuming HyperTransport to PCI bridges on the market.
  • Low System Cost – A small package and built in PCI arbiter reduces the need for real estate and translates to lower system cost.
  • Scalability – 31 devices can be daisy chained to enable a flexible and modular system implementation.
