Position Summary

As a Physical Implementation Lead, you will be responsible for taking our designs from Netlist through to GDSII. This involves applying state-of-the-art Implementation Methodologies and flows to ensure that we deliver first-time-right silicon.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Floorplanning advanced designs
  • Timing-driven place and route
  • Congestion analysis and repair
  • Static timing and noise analysis and correction
  • Parasitic extraction
  • Physical verification (DRC/LVS)
  • Leading others through the physical design flow
  • Monitoring the work of less experienced engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor of electrical  or computer engineering degree or the equivalent (MS preferred)
  • 7+ experience in physical implementation of digital devices.
  • At least 2 deep-Submicron Tapeouts (65 or 45nm).
  • Detailed knowledge of scripting languages, particularly PERL and TCL.
  • Extensive experience with CAD layout software; prior experience with Synopsys tools would be an advantage.
  • Interest in playing a variety of roles in a team.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
